Solange Adamson

Solange Adamson began her musical training at Wellesley College, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. She then completed a Master's degree at UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music. Finally, she obtained a Diplôme Supérieur d'Exécution at the École Normale de Musique de Paris and a Diplôme Supérieur de Perfectionnement.
She has sung in concert and opera in France, the United States and Europe, notably at the Fondation des États-Unis in Paris, where she was awarded the Harriet Hale Woolley prize, and at Salle Cortot. She has performed the roles of Michaela (Carmen), Indiana Elliot (The Mother of Us All), Dardano (Amadigi) and the Badessa (Suor Angelica), and created the roles of Sor Andrea in Juana and the Queen in The Emperor's New Clothes with Opera UCLA.
She has also received awards from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Bourse de la Cité Internationale Universitaire.
